The Need for Spain Grant Continues

Spain Appeal-2

Our Spain Grant program allows kids from families in need to come to camp for just $50. We're trying to raise $10,000 by the end of August to help cover this year's grants, and we need your help. Here's how the program works:

A church or community organization nominates a child for the Spain Grant program. (To be eligible for Spain Grant, the child's family must be receiving some kind of public assistance.) The family pays the $50, or the church or organization can pay it. They also make sure the camper has all the required gear for camp.

We believe that every child should be able to attend camp.

Our generous donors make it possible.

In 2018, we awarded $31,390 to 134 campers, which provided about one third of their camp fees. More importantly, we provided Spain Grants to 153 campers totaling $74,854.

Overall, we provided over $106,000 in financial assistance, all funded by people like you!

Here's How Camp Makes a Difference:

Mason, a past Spain Grant recipient, left Director's Leadership Week in 2018 intending to ask his pastor if he could start a children's choir. Instead, Mason became the adult choir director. Mason returned to camp this year. When I asked him if he still wanted to be a high school band director, he said, "No. I'm going to be a preacher."

From camper to choir director to call to ministry. This is the power of camp. He's already preached his first sermon in his church and is looking forward to working on staff when he graduates high school. Thanks for making stories like Mason's possible.

Here's How You Can Make a Difference:

Our goal is to raise $10,000 by August 31 to help cover this year's Spain Grants. Would you consider helping us to reach our goal?

Even small gifts add up to life-changing experiences for campers in need!
