I know what you're thinking - a summer camp update in October?
What can I say, after my first year since 2004(!) without summer camp at Pecometh, I can't wait for the summer of 2021 to get here. While we don't know yet exactly what that will look like, we know that Camp Pecometh will again serve our mission of providing summer campers with God-inspired, life-changing experiences.
Persevering through this year of unique challenges - social distancing, virtual and hybrid learning, home offices and essential workers - we have been blessed by reminders from camp families and guests that what we do at camp is needed now more than ever.
While we weren't able to run summer camp this year, we have worked to continue to provide options for families and guests since we were permitted to re-open in June. We served over 800 participants in our summer and fall outdoor activities, which included swimming, canoeing/kayaking, cabin use, fishing and walking the grounds. We also offered online programming such as the Parenting through Pandemic webinar series.
We're thankful to be able to continue offering options for safe fellowship this fall. Have you heard about these upcoming socially-distanced or virtual events we're hosting in the next month? You can find more on the Fall Activities or Events pages on our website.
Youth Fall Bonfire Sunday, October 25th
Bring your youth group for an evening of fall camp fun - outdoor worship, dinner & s'mores around the campfire, exploring the Dinosaur Trail Walk, and more socially-distanced fun. Registration required by October 22nd.
Let us know what you're excited about or looking forward to in the comments. In this time of disconnect, I can't wait to reconnect and hear from you!
