Camp News: See You in Summer 2021!

What a year it has been.

Usually by this time, camp registration would be open and we'd be starting to schedule our first summer staff interviews. Instead, we have been responsibly gathering information and all the best recommendations from the American Camp Association and other agencies to help us prepare for fun and healthy 2021 summer camp season. Pecometh is committed to continuing to learn and implement best practices in all we do, from faith development to health and safety.

Here's what we're able to share thus far:

  • Pecometh WILL be offering in-person summer camp in 2021.
  • We are currently planning 7 weeks of camp from June-August.
  • We hope to open registration in February, and will announce the date for opening in the new year. Staff applications will open around the same time.
  • We anticipate offering most of our classic camp activities in smaller group sizes, and are planning adjustments in case the state of Maryland is still recommending small-cohort programming when the time for camp arrives.
Unfortunately, there are still many things we won't know until closer to the summer. Requirements and recommendations from state regulatory agencies and state and local health departments change often as they learn more about best practices for health and safety.

A critical part of planning for next summer is hearing from our camper families. Please follow the question photo link to anonymously submit any questions you have for us. What questions do you have for us as we prepare for summer camp in 2021?

We will work to publicly answer those questions to the best of our ability by the time registration opens.

We can't wait to hear from you, but even more so, we can't wait to welcome campers back for another incredible summer at Camp Pecometh.
