Great Camp News in 3 Charts

Pecometh | Great Camp News in 3 Charts

The 2014 Camp Season has come to a close, the numbers are in, and we have good news to share!

Chart 1: Registrations were up this year.

Overnight camper registrations increased by about 4% this summer.

That may not sound like much, but this is the first time our enrollment has increased since before the recession began in 2008.

Chart 2: Over half of registrations were Tier 1 or 2.

What does that mean? It means that over half of our campers paid the "unsubsidized" rate.

We know that it can be tough for families to afford camp, so our three-tiered pricing allows people to choose a subsidized price (Tier 3) with no questions asked. Those who are willing and able can select options that pay for the direct cost of camp (Tier 2) or the "true" cost of camp (Tier 1).

Of course every child has the same experience, regardless of what they paid.

Chart 3: Over a quarter of our campers received camperships.

We believe that no child should miss out on camp because they can't afford it.

That's why we awarded camperships and Spain Grants to 246 campers this year, totaling over $67,000.

How can we give camperships so freely? Our generous donors make it possible.

Want to help more kids experience summer camp?

Our camperships are funded thanks to the generosity of our donors. If you would like to help more kids have God-inspired, life-changing experiences, please consider giving to our Annual Appeal.
