Benedictine Wisdom for Body and Soul:  A day of discovery, prayer, silence and community

Date: November 7, 2018

Time: 9:30am - 3:30pm

Location: Riverview Retreat Center

Cost: $35pp (includes program fee, lunch)

Facilitated by: Rev. Jane Ayers

This day is your time to explore life enriching values and practices of Benedictine spirituality, to sit with your reflections in prayerful silence; to ponder God’s desire for your love and wellbeing; to share your gleanings; to break bread together and receive one another as Christ receives you.

“Whatever good work you begin to do, beg of God with most earnest prayer to perfect it.”

― Benedict of Nursia

This day apart is intended to introduce retreatants to the contribution of Benedictine values in contemporary life and will specifically focus on prayer and awareness of God in the ordinary events of each day.

Jane is a retired United Methodist clergy and hospice chaplain with a
Master of Social Work degree and training in spiritual companioning
and pastoral care. Her present calling is to accompany individuals or
groups to an invitational, discovery oriented process of embodied
awareness and spiritual practices that honor and celebrate the truth of their being and support their calling to love God and neighbor. She is affiliated with Emmanuel Monastery in Baltimore and is an Oblate
Sister of St. Benedict.
