Here at Pecometh, when you stand between Talley House and the Dining Hall, you can see the high stand-alone tower associated with the Challenge Course. Over the past 15 years, many groups have gone through the course and have learned much that can be applied to everyday life.

Since 1946, Pecometh Camp & Retreat Ministries has been serving the local community and beyond by being a refuge of peace and play in a sacred setting. With rustic cabins, dorm-style retreat houses, and the modern Riverview Retreat Center, we serve as both a camp and retreat facility year-round. As we like to say, “we serve people who serve people.”

Meet Our Oyster Babies

You might have noticed the pictures we have posted of our “oyster babies” in the last month - this winter we are fostering cages of oyster spat! A couple weeks ago we invited our SOWI campers to join us in checking in on them.  They rolled up their sleeves and got their hands (and in some cases shirts, pants, feet, etc) dirty, in order to practice hands-on creation care.

Living Shoreline Update

It was a little scary to see construction equipment on the narrow strip of beach between by Fellowship Hall! For the last decade or so, that fragile bit of shoreline is all that stood between that beloved building and the eroding force of the Chester River.
